Primary Duties
- Acts as the first line of contact for responding to any type of customer inquiry
- Provide timely and accurate information to all requests internally and externally
- Determine customer requirements and expectations and suggest specific products and solutions
- Suggest alternate products based on cost, availability or specifications
- Partner with the outside sales team to meet and exceed customer’s expectations
- Contribute ideas and improvements to better the organization
- Work closely with suppliers to maintain good working relationships
- Participate in product and business training sessions.
- Answer customer and supplier telephone inquiries
Skills Required
- Prior experience with experience with bearing, power transmission, conveyor belting and/or fluid power products preferred
- Excellent communication, cooperation, and coordination with team members, vendors, internal and external customers
- Mechanical and mathematical aptitude
- Strong note taking ability
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing and challenging atmosphere
- Outstanding attention to detail; ability to multitask and prioritize work
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook and Word)
