Customer Service Representative

Binkelman is looking for an experienced, dependable, detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to work in a fast-paced, fun environment.

Primary Duties

  • Acts as the first line of contact for responding to any type of customer inquiry
  • Provide timely and accurate information to all requests internally and externally
  • Determine customer requirements and expectations and suggest specific products and solutions
  • Suggest alternate products based on cost, availability or specifications
  • Partner with the outside sales team to meet and exceed customer’s expectations
  • Contribute ideas and improvements to better the organization
  • Work closely with suppliers to maintain good working relationships
  • Participate in product and business training sessions.
  • Answer customer and supplier telephone inquiries

Skills Required

  • Prior experience with experience with bearing, power transmission, conveyor belting and/or fluid power products preferred
  • Excellent communication, cooperation, and coordination with team members, vendors, internal and external customers
  • Mechanical and mathematical aptitude
  • Strong note taking ability
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing and challenging atmosphere
  • Outstanding attention to detail; ability to multitask and prioritize work
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook and Word)
